ISLAMIC SPIRITUALITY

3 Simple reasons why you should read the Qur’an.

The Holy Qur’an is the only book you need if you're looking for the ultimate Truth.

About The True Reality

Our goal is to inspire all truth seekers to seek personal development through reading the Holy Qur'an and learning about Allah Almighty.

Table of contents

1) The Qur'an claims to be written by the God of Abraham.
2) The Qur'an explains our purpose, existence, and destiny.
3) The teachings in the Qur'an apply to every aspect of our lives.

1) The Qur'an claims to be from the God of Abraham.

That's right. The Qur'an claims to be written by the same God who inspired Noah to build an ark, and saved him and the believers from the global flood.

The Qur'an is from the same God who opened the sea to deliver Prophet Moses and his people out of Egypt, then enlightened him with the Torah which revealed the criteria between right and wrong.

The Qur'an is from the same God who chose Mary for the Virgin Birth and inspired her son Jesus with the Holy Spirit and gave him the Gospel.

In surah 5 Maida or The Table Spread Allah says,

46. And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and Light and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and a warning to those who fear God.

In the Qur’an God calls himself Allah (meaning The One God in Arabic) and says that He is the Lord of the universe who has sent mankind a Light to guide us.

These are huge claims!

Based on these claims alone I would want to see for myself what God Almighty wants to tell me!

Not to mention the widespread availability and easy access to the Holy Qur'an. Anyone no matter your race or social status can read the pure words of God. Why wouldn't everyone want to see what it says?

Just like the Gospel came to uphold the Old Testament, the Qur’an is here to uphold the True Message that was distorted within the Bible and the Torah.

The previous scriptures were tampered with.

Everyone knows the Bible has been changed and re-written by the hands of men. If you think that is OK, then continue to read the Bible and follow its distorted message.

But if you abhor the idea of following the manipulation of politicians, kings, and scammers who want to control you, then read the Qur'an.

In surah 15, The Rocky Tract, Allah says:

9. We have, without doubt, Sent down the Message ; And We will assuredly Guard it from corruption.

In surah 10 Jonah, Allah says,

36. This Quran is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary, it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book—wherein there is no doubt from the Lord of the Worlds.

37. Or do they say, "He (Muhammad) forged it"? Say: "Bring then a surah like it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can, besides Allah, if it be that you speak the truth!"

In these ayats or verses of the Qur’an, Allah says that the Qur’an is an authority because the verses themselves are miracles that no one else can produce.

Not even the Prophet Muhammad could have produced a single verse in the Qur’an because he was unlettered (meaning he couldn’t read or write).

Prophet Muhammad was a descendant of Prophet Abraham who was born in Mecca in the year 570 CE. Prophet Muhammad was approached by the Archangel Gabriel, the revelation angel, who inspired him with the words of Allah.
This claim is not so hard to believe because it is consistent with the way other monotheistic prophets claimed to be inspired with knowledge about the existence of God.

The angel Gabriel is the same angel who inspired other prophets like Noah, Jacob, Joseph etc. with divine revelation and the Truth about why we're here.

Physical Signs that the Message in the Qur'an is true

Physical Signs or evidence that the Message inside the Qur'an is actually from God is important to analyze because that's part of what makes it real and believable.

The Hindu Sanskrit text inside of the Gita for example, has no physical proof to confirm that Vishnu and his avatars including the incarnate Krishna are actually real.

Why does it matter if the claims in these Sacred books are actually real?

Because we need to know where we are going after death since we have no control over when we die. We need information and instructions to follow to assure that we will be safe in the world after death.

Without proof, anything anyone claims about spirituality and life after death is what the Qur’an calls falsehood, conjecture, fancy, lies, or stories that people make up.

The Kaaba

In the Qur'an Allah says that the Kaba was built by Prophet Abraham and his son Prophet Ishmael. If Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaba, then the Kaba has been in that spot since 1800 BCE!

There are many deeper miracles about the Kaba for those who wish to know. But on a surface level analyses, the fact that the Kaba still stands is impressive. Is there anything else on earth that is still standing from that long ago?

The well of Zam Zam

In the Qur'an Allah tells us about Ishmael's mother Hajar who ran between the mountains Safa and Marwa seven times desperately looking for water for her son in the hot Meccan desert. Allah says that He miraculously caused the water to gush forth from the earth when baby Ishmael struck his foot on the ground.

On a surface level analyses, the well of Zam Zam is the only well that still gushes forth rich mineral water since 1800 BCE.

This is a clear Sign that the claims in Qur'an are Divine.

Tombs

The tombs of prophets like the Prophet Muhammad are physical pieces of evidence of real people who claimed that they spoke to Angels who revealed knowledge about the existence of God.

We know where these people lived, when they lived, when they died, and other people’s testimony to the righteousness of their characters.

In contrast, there are no tombs of Hindu gurus who claimed to have been given visions about the existence of 33 millions gods including Vishnu or Krishna. If we don't know who spoke to Vishnu or Krishna, we can only assume the stories in the Gita are mythical stories that aren't actually real.

The Ayats (verses) of Qur’an

As stated earlier, the verses in Qur'an have never been changed because Allah has guarded them from corruption.

The Arabic words in the Qur'an today are the exact words revealed to Prophet Muhammad 1400 years ago. Those who have done the research have proven this fact. This is a Sign.

The Ayats in Qur'an also reveal scientific truths that have recently been discovered by scientists.

For example, long after the death of Prophet Muhammad western scientists assumed that babies in the womb were smaller versions of what they look like at birth.

The accurate phases of development of the embryo were described in the Qur'an 1400 years ago.

In surah 75 The Ressurection, Allah says:

36. Does Man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?
37. Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form) ?
38. Then did he become a leech-like clot ; then did Allah make and fashion him in due proportion.
39. And of him He made two sexes, male and female.
40. Has He not the same Power to give life to the dead ?

In surah 22 The Pilgrimage  Allah says,

5. O mankind ! If you have a doubt about the Resurrection, consider that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest Our power to you ; And We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babies, then foster you that you may reach your age of full strength ; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known much. And further, you see the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred to life, it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth in pairs.

6. This is so, because God is the Reality : it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who has Power over all things.

There are many more Signs that the Qur'an is the word of God for people who care to look. All throughout the Qur'an, Allah daws our attention to His Signs such as :

 - The creation of the body down to the fingertips.
- The Night and the Day.
- The separation of salt water oceans and fresh water oceans.
- The mountains as pegs that stabilize the crust of the earth.
- The order of the universe.
- The orbits of the planets and their retrogrades.
- The course of the celestial bodies.
- The similarities in communities among humans and animals.
 - The creation of various colors, properties, & languages of all kinds of creatures.
- The repetition of life cycles including the seasons.

The way  the earth returns to life in the summer after the dead winter is a parable that Allah uses to explain the coming of the Resurrection.

The Sun, Moon, and Constellations are among the biggest Signs that Allah points to in the Qur'an. No other being is Mighty enough to create these things or explain these things in detail.

Subhanallah! (Glory be to God).

2) The Qur’an explains our purpose, existence, and destiny.

The Qur'an directs our attention to concrete scientific wisdom to explain our world in detail, and the reason why we are here.

If it weren't for the Holy Qur'an, the only spiritual guidance we would have is the mythical stories in the Gita, the forged text in the Bible and Torah, and pure guessing and conjecture from individual authors of new age spirituality.

For example, many authors have written their opinions about why we are here. The conclusion they've come up with is that the purpose of life is to reproduce.

But there are many men and women who do not and CANNOT reproduce. So is their entire existence purposeless?

The Qur’an tells us that the reason why we are here is so that God can determine who is true in word and deed, and to see who among us is righteous and deserves eternal bliss and dwelling in the gardens of Paradise.

In surah 44,  Smoke  Allah says,

38. We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport :
39. We created them for just ends : But most of them do not understand.

In surah 45, Kneeling Allah says,

22. God created the heavens and the earth for just ends, and in order that each soul may find the recompense of what it has earned, and none of them will be wronged.

In surah 67, The Dominion Allah says,

1. Blessed be He in whose Hands is Dominion ; And He over all things has Power
2. He who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed : And He is the Exalted in Might, oft-Forgiving ;—

In surah 79 Those Who Tear Out Allah says,

40. And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord’s tribunal and had restrained their soul from lower desires,
41. Their abode will be The Garden.

These ayats from the Qur'an  offer an explanation of human existence that makes more sense and includes everyone. They also explain why humans were blessed with the intellect and conscious awareness over other creatures.

In surah 76, Time Allah says,

2. Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him : So We gave him (the gifts) of Hearing and Sight.
3. We showed him the Way : Whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will).

Furthermore the consequences behind the purpose of existence are serious. Committing bad actions and spreading corruption on earth results in living in Hell in the life after death.  But, for those who commit good deeds, their final resting place is Heaven.

This is the basis of the Law of Attraction in the True Reality.

This was also the Message that was expressed in the original unadulterated Scriptures given to Prophet Moses and Prophet Jesus.

3) The teachings in the Qur'an apply to every aspect of life.

People in western societies CRAVE answers. We seek to be enlightened. We desperately want to know:

Why are we here?
What is our purpose?
How to sustain good mental health?
What to eat?
How should men and women relate to each other?
How do we behave in communities with good social conduct?
What is the truth about the law of attraction?
How do we seek Allah’s bounty and gain wealth?
What is the truth about angels, demons, and the unseen world?
How do we communicate with the unseen world and strengthen intuition?

The Divine answers to all of these natural questions are inside of the Holy Qur'an.

In surah 10, Jonah  Allah says:

57. O mankind! There has come to you a Direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts and for those who believe, a Guidance and a Mercy.
58. Say: "In the Bounty of Allah, and in His Mercy—in that let them rejoice:" That is better than the (wealth) they hoard.

So, we shouldn't be ungrateful for the pure unadulterated Guidance that Allah has given us in the Quran.
